Job Summary
SHI, one of the world's leading technology solution providers and America's largest Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE), is seeking a seasoned, strategic, and hands-on VP of Product and Solutions Marketing to own the storytelling, positioning, and scaling of SHI's portfolio of technology solutions and services in the market. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, product, sales, and partner ecosystems, translating complex technology offerings into clear, compelling value propositions that drive customer adoption and revenue growth.
This leader will support and influence the end-to-end go-to-market strategies for SHI's solutions and key partner offerings, messaging, enabling sellers, influencing roadmap direction, and ensuring SHI clearly articulates its differentiated value across industries and buyer personas. This role requires deep collaboration across sales, solutions architecture, services, partner alliances, and corporate marketing, and serves as a critical voice of the customer and market within SHI.
Role Description:
Solutions & Product Marketing Strategy
- Lead the development and execution of product and solutions marketing strategy aligned to SHI's business objectives and growth priorities.
- Define market positioning, personas, and differentiated value propositions for SHI's solutions, services, and key partner offerings.
- Differentiate SHI in the market by emphasizing unique value propositions and business outcomes.
- Translate complex technical capabilities into business outcomes (TCO, risk reduction, uptime, compliance, scalability) that resonate with CIOs, CISOs, IT Directors, and procurement leaders.
- Create a consistent storytelling framework (problem-solution-outcome) that ties product features to measurable customer value across buying stages.
Go-To-Market and Demand Alignment
- Own go-to-market planning for new and existing solutions, including launches, campaigns, and lifecycle optimization.
- Partner with sales, services, and partner teams to ensure alignment on target markets, use cases, and solution narratives.
- Drive consistency and clarity across all customer-facing materials and channels.
- Collaborate with demand generation to build campaigns that drive pipeline for strategic solutions.
Market Intelligence and Voice of the Customer
- Lead Voice of the Customer programs with enterprise IT leaders, security professionals, and data center architects to inform messaging, content, and roadmap.
- Maintain competitive intelligence to defend differentiators and identify white space opportunities in the data center market.
- Conduct market, competitive, and customer research to keep a pulse on the landscape and help different teams (e.g. Product, GTM) act on emerging trends, market shifts, industry news/events, competitive threats, and unmet customer needs
Storytelling, Content, and Enablement
- Build and support scalable sales enablement strategies, including messaging frameworks, pitch decks, battlecards, solution playbooks, and competitive insights.
- Ensure sellers and solution teams are confident communicating SHI's value in every stage of the buyer's journey.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to sales leadership on market trends, buyer behavior, and competitive dynamics.
- Create and maintain a dynamic content library: messaging docs, battlecards, deck templates, one-pagers, battle-ready presentations, and demos.
- Support advocacy programs with case studies and customer success stories.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing solutions and product marketing team.
- Establish clear priorities, operating rhythms, and performance metrics to drive impact and accountability.
- Foster a culture of customer obsession, strategic thinking, and execution excellence.

- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing initiatives and continuously optimize strategies based on data and feedback.

Other Requirements
- Completed Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field, or relevant work experience required
- 10+ years of product, services, or solutions marketing experience, preferably at high-growth B2B SaaS, hardware, or IT services companies
- Ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive go-to-market plans
- Strong technical literacy (particularly in AI) with the ability to understand and simplify complex concepts for different audiences
- Proven ability to execute successful product launches that drive awareness and pipeline
- Experience in understanding technology at a deep level and translating it into concise business needs and outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable crafting and presenting various content pieces
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while focusing the appropriate level of effort on each
- Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills to navigate obstacles, propose solutions, and resolve issues
- Metrics-driven and focused on driving incremental results
- Natural curiosity and empathy for customers and their challenges

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $200,000 - $350,000, which includes a base and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
